I prepared plans for a capital project on Junipero Serra Blvd in San Francisco, where there will be pavement grinding and paving, sewer and curb ramp work. I used AutoCAD to make these plans based on existing drawings, and observations from Google Maps and field checks. These plans will be the base map for traffic control plans.
For specifications, a major part is traffic lane requirements table, where I wrote lane requirements for each road and intersection in the work area. Other elements include mass transit vehicle support, temporary pavement markings and red light camera detector loops and sensors in work area.
And for estimates, I estimated striping, messages and symbols that need to be grind out and restored, as well as costs of construction support, sign and signal shop support and traffic controls.
